Lockkeeper's Cottage, River Avon, Evesham, 18th October, 2008
18th October 2008 16:08
The Lockkeeper's cottage, sited between Workman Bridge and the East Railway Bridge, 18th October, 2008. Taken from a public footpath alongside the approach to the lock.
This photograph was prompted by the demolition of the former primary school that my father attended, a few yards from this location in fact. This has re-inforced the fact that just because something is here today, it doesn't mean it will be there tomorrow. The Lockkeeper's cottage is something that could come under this catagory; it was damaged during the 2007 floods, and faces an uncertain future because of this.
