GWR 66XX class no. 6696 prepares to depart Corfe Castle for Swanage on the 12th May 2009. I was a little disappointed to find a GWR locomotive on duty that day; I had hoped to get the M7 in a "Southern" livery, but it wasn't rostered and was still in BR livery. However, I did make another trip on the Swanage Railway later in the week, behind "West Country" class 34028 "Eddystone", which made up somewhat for this.
